About Ilyea
I have been teaching at private schools and colleges in the San Fernando Valley for quite some time. I am friendly, approachable, and try to make learning fun. I grew up in the Valley and attended Los Angeles Valley College. If I did not attend Los Angeles Valley College, I would not have pursued higher education, and it is my wish to pay that gift forward to all my students. Experience in my opinion has been the key to becoming a successful educator. I have a son, and we play video games, watch movies, love fine dining, and spending time with family.

Experience has provided me with the tools to share a wealth of valuable knowledge in an understandable and easier way. I have the ability to make abstract math and science concepts relatable to the real world. Students learn critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will aid and guide them in any endeavor they choose with my teaching methods. I provide notes that are similar to following a recipe to make cookies. I do not just solve homework problems, I assess constantly to make sure the student is understanding and will succeed in their classes. I teach math and science at the high school and college levels.
