About Abel
My name is Abel, and I have recently completed my first year of a bachelor's degree at the Ohio State University in aerospace engineering, and I helping people learn about STEM topics! I have several years of teaching experience from being a teacher's assistant at my high school. In addition to engineering, I really enjoy drawing, sewing, playing harp, and just generally making things. I'm very interested in outer space and would love to inspire younger minds to reach for the stars as well. I am also willing to help students prepare to pursue STEM degrees in college, with advice and experience I have received.

I personally find that examples and analogies are the easiest way to learn abstract topics in STEM, so I will be sure to base most of my lessons around easy-to-dissect explanations. A typical lesson plan will involve an analysis of what my student already knows and how they learn best, so I can tailor the content to help them understand it; I am not a fan of regurgitating the textbook repeatedly. For physics tutoring, I will occasionally give demonstrations using objects to better explain how certain concepts work. My favorite part of engineering is genuinely creative problem solving, and I will gladly apply it to tutoring, making sure I find a way to learn that my student enjoys.
I am proficient in mathematics up to Calculus III, and Physics up to Electricity and Magnetism. I am also knowledgeable in computer science and engineering fundamentals.
I am willing to give lessons to anyone who is interested in learning these topics, regardless of school year.
