About Jinu
After Graduating from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Math and secondary Education, I went onto become a high school math teacher. I’ve taught everything from pre-algebra to AP calculus AB. Then I moved into administration as a Dean and assistant principal. Although I no longer work in the school setting, I ran a successful private tutoring company with 40+ tutors for 8 years, while tutoring my own students outside of that business. I enjoy working with kids and adults and helping them achieve their goals. I am personable, easy to get a long with and fun to be around during sessions. I have a six year old who is already several years advanced among her peers in mathematics.

Each lesson is customized to the students needs and involves developing conceptual understanding, derivations (if necessary), guided practice, and independent practice. Assignment are given if we feel additional practice is necessary. Before we start with any student, an initial consultation is done to see if we are the right fit for your learning needs.

Details
The rate of $65/hour is only for online tutoring of on level courses. The rate may be more as the topics or student course rigor increases (so Honors and AP courses will cost more). The cost of tutoring includes my prep time and any additional Practice sheets I may have to develop. Occasionally, I tutor in home with students. The rate for in home tutoring depends on distance as well. The farthest I’m willing to drive from location is 20 miles.
