About Shaan
I am IIT Engineer (Electrical and Electronics) with MBA and MS Finance. To gain admission to IIT I had to pass the most difficult exam in the world called JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) with acceptance rate of 1% (lower than IVY leagues). At IIT we mastered the art of problem solving. Breaking down the problem and solving it step by step. I focus on building the foundation ground up and teaching the basic concepts first before tackling complex problems. I believe in daily practice and solving various kinds of problems. For high school we will look at some SAT prep questions too. For new school students I would like to know where they are at so I would administer a quick diagnostic test to understand. This way I can customize my lessons. Mindset is very important so I will spend some time to understand the goals of the student and what obstacles stand in their way (e.g fear of math, lack of confidence etc). So mindset building with very important. I can work with home school students and those with mild learning disabilities. I welcome whoever needs help. Every child is a star in their eyes of their parents. Let's make everyone successful. Please make an appointment.
