About Grace
I’m a math tutor with over 10 years of experience and a degree in Applied Mathematics. I work with students from elementary through college, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, and SAT prep.
I started tutoring at 14, helping peers and younger students, and continued through AP/SAT tutoring in my teens and into my 20s. Now in my early 30s, I’ve worked with a wide range of students and learning styles.
My approach is both professional and personable. I take the time to understand how each student thinks, what they’re struggling with, and what matters to them so we can build real understanding—not just memorization.
I also have a strong interest in psychology and how people learn, which helps me connect with students and keep them engaged and confident.

My goal is to help students actually understand math so they can feel confident and independent—not just get through homework.
I’m a great fit for students who: – feel behind or lost in math
– understand pieces but can’t connect them
– get anxious or frustrated with the subject
– want to build real confidence, not just memorize steps
I start each session by figuring out what the student already knows, then build from there using:
– clear, simple explanations
– real-world examples
– pattern recognition and connections
– step-by-step breakdowns that actually make sense
I don’t force one “right way” to think—I adapt to how the student learns best and expand from there!
