About Oliver
I am an Academic level grade 12 student at M.M. Robinson High School, currently studying Manufacturing in a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM). I am looking for part time virtual tutoring opportunities. I have strong knowledge of math concepts throughout Grades K-9. My experience includes working with students with learning disabilities, such as students on the Autism spectrum, ADD, ADHD and OCD.

I love to help students compare the math concepts to things they may relate to in their real lives to see where they may have gone wrong to make corrections and better their understanding. I strive to improve learning outcomes for all, regardless of race, class, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and other historical forms of marginalization. In a typical class, I do weekly check-ins or unit reviews.

Oliver has been helping my Grade 6 student for several months. He provides real life and useful examples that go hand in hand with what she is learning at school. When she doesn’t understand he is able to break down the steps to help her. As their lessons have been done virtually, he uses a whiteboard to provide visuals that she can follow.
