I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, currently work in the data science field and recently passed my Chartered Financial Analyst 1 exam. I have a passion for helping others grasp a good, firm knowledge on the subject, which is why I have been tutoring Maths and Science for 10 years

I determine my teaching on the individuals existing knowledge of the topic. My core focus, is impart a firm understanding of the topic, as I believe math is not memorized, but understood. To grasp this I'll typically show the real world problem, how this topic links to other math topics, go through a derivation and a worked example then get the student to repeat the problem by themselves with incremental difficulty so that no step is too large. If the student is already a high achiever, i'll focus more on the fringe cases and what typically trips a student up between the 75% and 100% mark
