I’ve learned how people learn from many different angles — in the classroom, through sports, and by teaching and leading others.
I was valedictorian in high school, so I understand academic pressure and how important strong foundations are in math. At the same time, my background in competitive sports taught me patience, discipline, and how to adjust explanations when something isn’t clicking right away. Coaching and training environments showed me that not everyone learns math the same way; some need to see it visually, some need to work through examples, and others need concepts explained step by step.
That approach carries into how I teach math. I focus on building understanding rather than rushing to answers, and I take time to explain ideas in a way that fits how the student thinks. The goal is to make math feel structured, logical, and manageable.
