About Rachel
Hello!
My name is Rachel Chambers and I am a math, art, and science teacher living in Philadelphia. By day I am teaching Environmental Science as a public school teacher, but by night I am a math tutor that focuses on learning differences.
I have a BFA and MFA along with an M.Ed in Education. I love sharing my interest in math and art! My greatest success as a teacher is when I hear "Ms. Chambers, I like math again. Thank you."
Working towards my counseling certification, I also offer coaching for those that are in search of clarity in their relationships and work lives.

Each day is different when it comes to learning math. Some days it's vocabulary, and other days it's practice problems. Using color coding, labeling, and notes, learners build a toolkit that helps them in the classroom and in their day-to-day lives. My students are able to feel comfortable and talk through the process of math and take that confidence back to their classrooms.
I have taught at schools that were founded for learning differences! My lessons are for anyone that wants to feel more certain in their understanding of foundational math.
