About Connor
Hello my name is Connor Mcphillips and I am a student at Lancaster University Studying a degree in mathematics. Since the age of 16, I have been a support worker in a tutoring company known as tuition. I thoroughly enjoy working there as I have built more self-confidence by encouraging my students to strive for their goals and gaining an insight on how to apply my skill set to a different problem a student may have. Every student has their own complication when attempting work, so I have attained more independence to tackle these issues and guide them to their answers.

My first lesson is more focussed towards getting to know the student I am working with. We start with a small test covering all the topics on the GCSE maths Syllabise as it allows me to target certain areas they may struggle with in later sessions. I always start with the basics as to truly understand a subject you must have a solid foundation of knowledge to work upon.
