My personal learning strategy involves referring to digestible material to prime the brain for key information about a topic, using resources such as KhanAcademy or Brilliant.org for introductions. These are particularly handy as they have high quality, polished examples and problem sets to faciliate assimilation.
Having experience in the field of academic mathematics (Science stream) provides a useful roadmap of mathematical concepts, that can be fostered and passed on through the process of socratic dialogue. This is why the combination of finding quality learning materials still needs to be complemented with face-to-face tuition.
