About Jacob
I have just finished my third-year at Queen's University. I study Mathematics & Engineering for Systems and Robotics. I have peer tutored since I was in high school and continue to tutor at university.
I am proficient at all grades of high school Math & Physics and comfortable in offering any help and guidance to students that need it.
As well, I am comfortable tutoring university leveled mathematics such as:
- Calculus (Any level)
- Linear algebra
- Probability/statistics
- Real analysis
- Complex analysis
- Differential equations
- Discrete math

I believe that hard work, practice and patient is best when tackling any subject. I believe that as a teacher or tutor, it is my duty to motivate students to want to do better in a subject and inspire a will to succeed. I do not simply want to show students the right answer, I want them to truly understand what is happening at each step and be confident in themselves when solving questions on their own. I do this by creating small goals over time to show the student their improvement and be able to track their successes.
Also, due to the current situation with Covid-19, All tutor sessions will be done over webcams (most likely zoom or whatever video web-services is best for you!)
