About Ethan
My name is Ethan, I'm 23, I grew up in Corsham, and I have always been an enjoyer of maths and science.
Like most people on Earth I have people that inspire me - such as Isaac Asimov, my Mum, and Keanu Reeves - but the ones that stand out the most are my teachers. Their friendliness and stalwart ambition to engage their students made learning a memorable and pleasurable experience as a kid, which helped keep the fire of my mathematical passion rage on, and open up a world of opportunities. Through their efforts I got to study at Exeter University, and make some lifelong friends.
I aspire to be like my teachers, and teach because of the joy and potential futures it can bring to people. Helping others is also rewarding, and when in it's in a field of life I have a passion for, the reward feels all the better.

- I find it crucial to first understand how a student learns best (e.g/ with visual aids, broken down examples, mnemonic devices, etc.), so that I can teach as well as possible.
- I then break down mathematical ideas and concepts into core, easy-to-understand parts, and then build on these parts accordingly to help students achieve their goals.
-Repeated practise is key! I am happy to give supplementary homework if requested.
-Lessons typically last 1-2 hours, though I am relatively flexible!
-I have tutored my siblings and family friends, as well as participating in tutoring schemes at school. I am also studying a teaching degree, in hopes to take this practice into the classroom.
-Lessons are primarily for GCSE and A level students, though I am happy to tutor children aged 11 and up.
