About Brett
My passion for mathematics began with fascination for patterns, logic, and the challenge of solving complex problems. I pursued a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, gaining deep knowledge in both theoretical and applied domains. Over 12 years of teaching, I have guided students of diverse backgrounds to achieve clarity, mastery, and confidence in mathematics.
I believe mathematics is best learned through structured exploration, stepwise reasoning, and practical application. Many students struggle with abstract ideas or procedural memorization, so I emphasize visualizations, real-world examples, and interactive problem-solving. Lessons are customized to student learning styles, goals, and pace, fostering long-term understanding and engagement.
Outside teaching, I engage with mathematical research, problem-solving competitions, and cross-disciplinary applications. Teaching mathematics is deeply rewarding because I see students grow intellectually, develop analytical skills, and gain confidence in tackling challenging concepts. Helping learners become thoughtful, capable, and inspired mathematicians is the most fulfilling part of my work.
