About Gianna
My passion for mathematics began with an appreciation for its logical beauty and ability to explain complex ideas with precision. This interest led me to pursue an M.Sc in Advanced Mathematics, where I explored both theoretical frameworks and applied problem-solving techniques. Over 11 years of teaching, I have helped students from diverse backgrounds replace uncertainty with confidence through structured guidance and supportive instruction.
I believe effective mathematics teaching requires empathy, adaptability, and clear communication. I take time to understand how each student thinks and adjust explanations to suit their learning style. Whether using visual models, real-life examples, or step-by-step reasoning, I aim to make mathematics feel approachable and meaningful.
Outside the classroom, I continue engaging with mathematics through problem-solving practice, academic reading, and exploring real-world applications. I focus on guiding learners through arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and introductory statistics by explaining not just procedures, but the reasoning behind them. This approach helps learners move away from memorization and toward genuine understanding.
Lessons are always adapted to the student’s current ability and academic goals. Beginners receive patient instruction focused on number sense, basic operations, and confidence-building practice.
