About Blake
My journey into mathematics education began with a fascination for patterns, problem-solving, and logical reasoning. I earned an M.Sc in Mathematics Education, where I studied advanced concepts, pedagogy, and learning psychology to help students overcome maths anxiety. Over the past 13 years, I have guided students across elementary school maths, middle school maths, geometry, algebra, and SAT maths, helping them achieve clarity, independence, and confidence. I teach with patience, empathy, and adaptability, ensuring explanations are accessible to learners of all levels. I use visual models, step-by-step reasoning, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts tangible. Many students who initially struggled gradually gain confidence and self-belief as they understand the logic and structure behind every problem. Outside teaching, I continue refining instructional methods, creating practice resources, and studying educational research. Teaching mathematics is deeply fulfilling because it equips students with analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills that last a lifetime.

Mathematics becomes more manageable when students understand the reasoning behind each concept rather than memorising rules. In my lessons, I guide learners through elementary school maths, middle school maths, geometry, algebra, and SAT maths using structured explanations that highlight patterns, connections, and logical thinking. My goal is to help learners approach problems confidently, independently, and with a clear understanding of underlying concepts. Lesson plans are carefully tailored to each learner’s level. Beginners focus on number sense, arithmetic fluency, and foundational reasoning. Intermediate learners strengthen geometry understanding, algebraic manipulation, and proportional thinking while solving multi-step problems. Advanced learners develop SAT maths strategies, time management, and flexible problem-solving skills. Guided practice, reflection, and step-by-step reasoning are central to each session. Maths lessons also cultivate patience, critical thinking, and self-confidence. As students develop mastery over concepts like algebra and geometry, they begin approaching challenges with calm persistence and logical problem-solving habits. My goal is to help learners trust their analytical skills and develop strong mathematical foundations that support lifelong learning.
