About Lyra
My fascination with mathematics started during my Bachelor’s studies and deepened through a Master’s in Applied Mathematics. Over the past 9 years, I have helped students develop problem-solving skills, conceptual understanding, and analytical thinking across all levels of mathematics. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, patience, structured explanation, and connecting abstract concepts to real-life examples, ensuring learners build both competence and confidence.
I structure lessons to support different learning levels, balancing theory, guided practice, and problem-solving challenges. Beginners solidify fundamental concepts and build confidence, intermediate learners strengthen reasoning and analytical skills, and advanced students tackle higher-level mathematics, proofs, and applied problem-solving. I encourage learners to question, explore, and approach mathematics with curiosity and persistence, cultivating a deep understanding that supports long-term academic growth.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with contemporary mathematical research, problem-solving competitions, and applied analytical projects. I focus on algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and applied mathematics, using a clear, stepwise approach. Beginners learn foundational operations, problem-solving techniques, and conceptual understanding. Intermediate learners tackle equations, functions, graphing, probability, and basic modeling. Advanced learners explore advanced calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and mathematical proofs, building analytical and critical thinking skills necessary for higher-level academics.
