About Lana
My passion for Mathematics began with a fascination for patterns, logical structures, and analytical problem-solving. I pursued an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics to deepen both my conceptual understanding and teaching effectiveness. Over 12 years of experience, I have guided learners across elementary school math, middle school math, SAT math preparation, and introductory Calculus, helping them achieve clarity, confidence, and independent problem-solving skills. I teach with patience, careful observation, and adaptability. I tailor explanations to each learner’s learning style, using visual models, practical examples, and stepwise reasoning. I encourage questions and foster an environment where mistakes are learning opportunities, helping students build resilience, confidence, and curiosity. Outside the classroom, I remain engaged in mathematics through problem-solving, curriculum development, and ongoing study. Teaching Math is deeply rewarding because I witness learners gain logical reasoning, independence, and confidence. Supporting students in realizing their potential and mastery is the most fulfilling part of my work.

Mathematics becomes meaningful when learners are encouraged to understand the reasoning behind each concept. My lessons cover elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus, emphasizing step-by-step problem-solving, logical connections, and conceptual understanding. I provide a supportive environment where students can explore ideas, ask questions, and gradually build confidence in solving problems across multiple mathematical domains.
Lesson content is tailored to the learner’s level. Elementary school math focuses on number sense, basic arithmetic, and interpreting word problems. Middle school math introduces geometry, proportional reasoning, and foundational algebra with interactive exercises and visual aids. Advanced learners work on algebraic techniques, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus, emphasizing accuracy, logical reasoning, and application. Carefully selected exercises reinforce understanding and develop independent problem-solving skills.
Maths lessons also foster patience, resilience, and analytical thinking. As learners gain clarity, they approach unfamiliar challenges with confidence and independence. Many students develop an appreciation for mathematics as structured, logical, and rewarding. My goal is to help learners feel confident, motivated, and capable in all areas of mathematics.
