About Xueyi
I am a Mathematics graduate and currently a Master of Data Science student at Monash University. I have experience tutoring students and explaining mathematical problems in a clear, patient and structured way. I enjoy helping students turn difficult concepts into manageable steps and become more confident in solving problems independently. Having studied both mathematics and data science, I can also help students understand how mathematical and statistical concepts are applied in real-world situations.

Each lesson begins with a quick discussion of the student’s goals and any topics they find challenging. I then break the topic into manageable steps, use worked examples to demonstrate the reasoning, and guide the student through similar questions independently. Lessons can focus on concept review, problem-solving strategies, exam preparation or support with understanding coursework. I also adapt the pace and level of difficulty based on the student’s progress. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and is suitable for high school and university students studying maths, statistics, algorithms or logic.
