About Aggie
I’m a University of Nottingham Mathematics graduate, I work as a Learning Support Assistant at Nottingham College and I hold a Level 3 Teaching qualification.
I have experience supporting students in achieving their qualifications of Foundation Maths, GCSE Maths and A Level Maths. This includes students with additional support needs, such as Dyscalculia.
I am familiar and confident in all parts of the Maths curriculum in England as well as having an in-depth understanding of exam expectations.

Through my experiences of tutoring Maths at GCSE and A-Level, I have found that approaching problems from a new perspective as well as creating links between different topics are key skills for understanding Mathematics. My teaching style focuses on helping students develop skills for independent learning in addition to providing assistance with specific concepts or methods. Sessions with me will be tailored to the needs of the student, dependent on the style of learning most effective for them as well as the specific difficulties they have with the content of the curriculum.
Especially with learners who struggle with Maths due to additional support needs, my focus lies in finding the gaps in their knowledge understanding and skills, so that I can effectively provide them with a solid foundational base for learning more complex mathematical concepts.

Perfect! Agnes is covering the A level Maths syllabus with my son on the run up to his exams this Summer. He has been finding some topics particularly difficult, so Agnes has been tailoring her lessons to target these areas. She has a friendly and approachable personality, and the ability to communicate and teach very effectively. My son finds Agnes's enthusiasm for Maths very motivating, and he is thoroughly enjoying his lessons with her. In addition to developing his Math skills, he is also growing in confidence when tackling past exam questions.

Agnieszka's tutoring style is extremely flexible. She adapts her style based on the difficulty of the topics and how well I understand them. When I don't understand something, Agnieszka finds a simple way to help me grasp concepts in a way that sticks with me.
