About Tyler
My love for mathematics began with fascination for how abstract symbols can describe real patterns in nature, technology, and human systems. I earned a B.Sc in Pure Mathematics and later an M.Sc in Mathematical Optimisation, which allowed me to explore both theoretical reasoning and applied analytical problem solving. Over the past 10 years, I have guided students through mathematics with structured teaching that encourages confidence and clarity.
I believe maths should be taught as a language of understanding rather than fear. My teaching style emphasises patience, step-by-step explanation, and helping students see the logic behind methods instead of memorising formulas. I adapt lessons to each learner’s pace, ensuring they feel supported and motivated.
Outside tutoring, I remain connected to mathematics through optimisation research interests, modelling exploration, and continued learning. Teaching is meaningful because I witness learners transform from uncertainty into confident thinkers who approach challenges with independence and calm reasoning.

Mathematics becomes far more understandable when students feel guided towards true reasoning rather than pressured to memorise steps. My lessons focus on helping learners build strong foundations in algebra, geometry, calculus, and probability through clear explanation and steady practice. I teach mathematics as a connected system of ideas where each topic supports the next, allowing students to develop confidence through understanding patterns, logic, and structure. Sessions are calm, supportive, and designed to help learners feel comfortable asking questions and exploring concepts without fear.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s current level and academic goals. Beginners focus on number sense, equation solving, fractions, and building confidence with basic problem structures. Intermediate learners strengthen their ability in functions, graph analysis, multi-step word problems, and exam preparation strategies. Advanced students refine calculus reasoning, proof-based thinking, and complex analytical problem solving with deeper challenge and guided correction. Throughout every stage, I provide detailed feedback so progress feels steady and rewarding.
