About Raaya
My journey in mathematics began with fascination for how abstract symbols can explain real systems in science, engineering, and technology. I earned a B.Sc in Mathematical Sciences and later completed an M.Sc in Applied Industrial Mathematics, which gave me both theoretical depth and practical insight. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided students through challenges by making complex ideas approachable.
I believe every student deserves a supportive learning space where questions are encouraged. My teaching style focuses on clarity, patience, and step-by-step explanation, using examples and visual reasoning rather than memorization. I help learners build confidence by understanding the logic behind methods.
Outside tutoring, I remain engaged with mathematics through continual learning, modeling interests, and exploring real-world applications. Teaching math is meaningful because students often transform from uncertainty into confidence. Supporting their growth is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Mathematics becomes far more meaningful when students see it as a way of thinking rather than just a school subject. In my lessons, I guide learners through algebra, functions, geometry, introductory calculus, and probability with clear explanation and structured practice. I focus on building understanding step by step so students can approach problems calmly and confidently. Each session creates an environment where curiosity is welcomed and progress feels achievable.
Lessons are designed to match the learner’s level. Beginners work on number sense, equation building, and foundational reasoning through patient guidance. Intermediate learners strengthen skills in graph interpretation, multi-step word problems, and geometric logic with consistent practice. Advanced students refine calculus applications, exam strategies, and deeper analytical thinking through detailed feedback and correction. Practice problems are always paired with reasoning support.
Mathematics lessons also help students develop focus, patience, and confidence beyond academics. Many learners discover that clear mathematical thinking improves decision-making and problem-solving in everyday life. My goal is to help students feel empowered through strong mathematical understanding.
