About Lauren
I have a Bachelors of Science in mathematics from Spelman College where I also minored in computer science and took several physics courses. However, my favorite and strongest subject has always been math, which is why I decided to apply to become an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UTA) in mathematics courses during my time as a student. Upon being selected, I attended classes, held office hours to tutor students, and taught lessons.

I was also chosen for the Pre-UTA program, where students were able to observe various class subjects and teachers to perform analysis on the pedagogy of each class. I found that teachers present content through a number of ways and media is often an interactive method and keeps students engaged. You can even get students involved by participating in online polls/tests so students and teachers can see how many students are selecting each choice and address concerns for misunderstandings as they arise.
