About Ronan
I have a PhD in Mathematics in the field of integrable systems, a field of study sitting at the intersection of geometry and mathematical physics. I love geometry and believe that the best thing to do when trying to understand something in maths is to draw a diagram. The equations are just something you do after that, if you have to.
I am also currently a Software Engineer, so I know first hand how the strong abstract reasoning and analytical skills developed from the study of mathematics sets someone up for any career where such skills are needed.

My focus is on building a strong foundation of knowledge, identifying any weak areas and working on them. Focusing on understanding the material rather than just rote memorisation and recipe selection. However! Grades are also important, and are realistically the end goal. So for that, the best thing is also going through past exam papers.
