About Shilpa
Hi! My name is Shilpa. I am a 2nd year mathematics student at UCLA. I am originally from Texas, and moved to LA for college. I love sports- especially basketball, and I love all animals. One of my greatest passions is teaching and education- I hope to be a college math professor in the future. I have a lot of tutoring/teaching experience, and teaching other is one of my favorite things to do. I believe it's an extremely rewarding experience and I'm excited to be a tutor for superprof!

My teaching method focuses on the concepts of the subjects at hand. Once the student has a solid conceptual basis, we move on to examples and then practice problems. My teaching methods also focus on working through practice problems with my students- as I feel this is the best way to grasp a concept.
My peers would describe me as kind, patient, and dedicated. I can adapt to different models of teaching, depending on what students prefer.
My lessons are for middle school to high school students who need help with STEM subjects.
