About Sharon
I am an experienced and patient mathematics teacher and tutor and have been teaching and tutoring for over 15 years. I love to inspire my students to be confident, independent, and critical problem solvers! I have taught middle school students and high school students for over 15 years. My students have continued to achieve in mathematics in high school, college, and career.

I encourage students to be self-directed learners but guide them through modeling and practice. I am patient and will present different strategies to students to complement their individual learning styles. My goal is for students to understand why they are learning concepts as well as apply them in all levels of problem solving. Students will understand the connection that math has to the real world and that it is through instruction, feedback, perserverance, and reflection that they will develop a growth mindset to be successful in mathematical challenges.
