About Jade
I have been teaching for 10 years and I love the job I do. I love seeing students gain confidence and seeing the progression that takes place after this. I love teaching maths because I like that in maths a big problem can be broken down to a single solution and I enjoy the problem solving to get to the solution. Being good at maths is a great skill to have. It improves your ability to solve problems and think things through logically, which is needed in many aspects of our lives. I find teaching very rewarding because students puta lot of effort into their subjects in order to improve and it is lovely to see when that effort has paid off.

I have 10 years experience of teaching mathematics in a secondary school. I have also tutored privately throughout my career. My approach to teaching maths is by building student confidence and resilience in problem solving, which has a huge impact on student attainment. To be able to do this, having a good relationship with students is absolutely vital. I pride myself on the rapport I have built with students over the years, it is this that made me love the job I do. I provide a supportive and calm learning environment for students to gain confidence in maths and learn a range of strategies to tackle difficult problems. I am experienced in teaching a wide range of abilities and can cater to a range of learning styles. Teaching for understanding is key to success in maths and I have various different methods to show you to cater to your learning style. I look forward to helping you succeed in maths.
