About Addie
My interest in mathematics began early, drawn to the logical patterns and problem-solving challenges the subject presents. I completed a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics, gaining extensive experience in both theoretical and applied problem-solving. Over 12 years of teaching, I have helped learners of diverse backgrounds develop conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and confidence in mathematics, transforming apprehension into curiosity and achievement.
I believe in teaching mathematics with patience, adaptability, and clarity. Lessons are tailored to each learner’s pace and style, integrating visual tools, real-life applications, and interactive exercises to make abstract concepts tangible. I emphasise reasoning, exploration, and reflection, encouraging students to engage actively with problems and develop independent thinking.
Beyond teaching, I continue exploring mathematical theory, applied projects, and educational innovations. Teaching mathematics is immensely rewarding because I witness learners grow in confidence, logical thinking, and curiosity. Supporting their development into capable, independent problem-solvers remains the most fulfilling part of my professional work.

Mathematics lessons with me focus on building a strong conceptual foundation, analytical thinking, and confidence in problem-solving. I emphasise connecting abstract concepts to real-world applications, making topics like algebra, calculus, geometry, probability, and statistics engaging and comprehensible. Lessons incorporate visual aids, examples, and interactive exercises that encourage students to explore multiple solution strategies and reflect on their reasoning. I structure sessions to gradually introduce more complex ideas while ensuring that foundational understanding is solid, fostering both competence and curiosity in learners.
Intermediate and advanced students engage in deeper exploration of topics such as multivariable calculus, linear algebra, combinatorics, and optimisation. I guide learners in developing structured problem-solving techniques, analytical reasoning, and clarity in approach. Assignments, discussions, and iterative feedback ensure students internalise concepts, build resilience, and develop independence in tackling challenging problems. Lessons are designed to strengthen both confidence and skill.
Mathematics education with me also enhances patience, focus, and critical thinking. Students gain confidence in explaining solutions, identifying patterns, and approaching problems methodically. My goal is to foster intellectual curiosity, self-assurance, and a love for mathematics, preparing learners for academic success and lifelong analytical thinking.
