About Harper
I have always been fascinated by the logic and structure of mathematics. I earned a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and have spent 7 years teaching students from basic to advanced levels. My approach emphasises clarity, patience, and adaptability, ensuring students can learn at their own pace and build confidence.
I believe in making maths approachable and practical. Lessons include examples from real life, step-by-step problem explanations, and hands-on exercises to develop both understanding and application skills. Students are encouraged to explore solutions independently while receiving guidance when needed.
Outside teaching, I enjoy analysing patterns, studying mathematical puzzles, and exploring applied mathematics in different fields. Teaching mathematics is rewarding because I watch learners develop problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and confidence. Seeing students transform uncertainty into clarity and competence remains the most satisfying part of my work.

Mathematics is a skill that becomes easier with structured explanation and consistent practice. In my lessons, I cover algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and applied problem-solving techniques. I break down problems step by step, use visual aids where necessary, and provide multiple examples to ensure that each concept is understood clearly. My teaching focuses on developing logical reasoning and confidence in approaching challenges, rather than rote memorisation. Students are encouraged to ask questions and explore multiple methods to strengthen understanding and adaptability in problem-solving.
Lessons are tailored to different levels. Beginners focus on arithmetic, basic algebra, and foundational concepts. Intermediate learners explore equations, functions, graphing, probability, and more complex problem-solving. Advanced learners study calculus, combinatorics, matrices, and real-life applications of mathematics. Each class includes exercises, guided solutions, and continuous feedback to ensure steady progress.
Mathematics also enhances analytical thinking, persistence, and systematic problem-solving abilities. Students gain confidence to tackle unfamiliar problems and develop resilience in learning. My goal is to equip learners with the skills to approach mathematical challenges methodically, understand concepts deeply, and apply their knowledge in academics, exams, or real-world situations.
