About Émilie
I have always been fascinated by numbers, patterns, and problem-solving, which led me to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics. Over 9 years of teaching, I have helped students develop understanding, reasoning, and confidence in mathematics. My approach focuses on clarity, patient explanation, and structured guidance, enabling learners to progress steadily while gaining both skill and self-assurance.
I employ interactive methods such as visual examples, step-by-step demonstrations, and problem-solving exercises tailored to each student’s level. I encourage independent thinking, reasoning, and questioning, helping students internalise concepts rather than memorise procedures. Lessons balance theory, practice, and critical reasoning to build both competence and confidence.
Outside the classroom, I keep up with mathematical research, problem-solving techniques, and new teaching strategies, bringing contemporary relevance and engaging examples into my lessons. Witnessing students grow from uncertain beginners to confident problem solvers who enjoy mathematics is immensely rewarding. My aim is to cultivate curiosity, analytical thinking, and lifelong appreciation for the beauty and utility of mathematics in every learner.

My lessons cover algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, probability, statistics, and logical problem-solving. I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step solutions, and relatable examples that make abstract concepts tangible. Every class encourages curiosity, analytical thinking, and persistence, helping students develop confidence as they progress from simple to more complex mathematical challenges.
Lesson plans are tailored according to student levels. Beginners start with basic arithmetic, algebraic manipulation, geometry, and foundational reasoning. Intermediate learners explore calculus, coordinate geometry, probability, and problem-solving techniques. Advanced students tackle complex multi-step problems, proofs, advanced calculus, and competition or exam preparation. Structured exercises, guided reasoning, and frequent review help students steadily build skill, accuracy, and confidence.
Mathematics strengthens analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and structured problem-solving skills. Students learn to approach problems methodically, think critically, and apply reasoning across academic and real-world contexts.
