About Tatum
My fascination with mathematics began in early education when I realized the elegance and precision embedded in logical patterns and problem-solving. This interest led me to pursue an M.Sc in Pure Mathematics, where I explored advanced theory, proofs, and practical applications. Over 12 years of teaching, I have guided students from diverse backgrounds, transforming apprehension into confidence and clarity.
I believe that effective mathematics education requires patience, adaptability, and attentiveness to individual learning styles. Lesson plans are individualized based on student proficiency. Beginners receive patient instruction in foundational arithmetic, number sense, and basic operations, reinforced through repetition and visual illustration. Intermediate learners strengthen algebraic manipulation, functional reasoning, graphical interpretation, and multi-step problem-solving. Advanced learners engage with calculus, combinatorics, proofs, optimization, and examination strategies.
