About Melissa
I have 8 years of experience teaching Mathematics to students who want to develop both confidence and deep conceptual understanding. I hold an M.Sc in Pure Mathematics, which has allowed me to explore advanced mathematical structures while also learning how to explain them in accessible ways. My background includes working with students across school and university levels, helping them strengthen their foundations while also supporting those interested in higher mathematics. Mathematics becomes far more engaging when students understand that it is not about memorizing formulas, but about learning how to think with structure and clarity. In my lessons, I help learners build deep understanding in algebra, geometry, calculus foundations, and problem-solving strategies. Concepts are explained step by step, using visual reasoning, real-world applications, and guided practice that strengthens confidence. I create an environment where students feel safe to ask questions, explore ideas, and gradually develop strong mathematical independence.
My teaching method focuses on building solid foundations before moving into advanced challenges. Students learn how equations behave, why algebraic transformations work, and how calculus ideas emerge from patterns of change and motion.
