About Blake
My interest in mathematics began when I noticed how numbers follow patterns that can explain many situations in everyday life. I enjoyed exploring how mathematical reasoning helps solve complex problems and describe relationships between quantities. This curiosity encouraged me to pursue formal education in mathematics and complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, where I studied algebra, calculus, and statistics.
During my 7 years of teaching, I have guided students who had different levels of confidence in mathematics. Some learners needed help strengthening basic skills, while others aimed to improve their ability to solve advanced problems. My teaching style focuses on simple explanations and gradual progress so students can develop understanding step by step.
Outside teaching, I enjoy solving mathematical puzzles and reading about applications of mathematics in science and technology. These interests help me stay engaged with the subject and bring interesting examples into my lessons. Teaching mathematics is rewarding because I see students grow more confident in their ability to understand challenging ideas.

My mathematics lessons are designed to help students understand the logical structure behind numbers and equations. Many learners struggle with mathematics because they try to memorize procedures without understanding the reasoning behind them. In my lessons we begin with foundational topics such as number operations, fractions, decimals, and percentages so students can build strong numerical skills.
Once students gain confidence with these basics, lessons expand to include algebra, equations, and geometry. I guide learners through step-by-step explanations so they can understand how mathematical problems can be solved logically. Practice exercises are included regularly to help students strengthen their calculation accuracy and build confidence.
My goal is to help students approach mathematics with patience and clarity. Lessons focus on recognizing patterns, organizing information, and applying logical reasoning to solve problems. Over time students begin to see mathematics as a subject that develops strong analytical thinking and supports success in many academic areas.
