About Joshua
Hi, I'm Josh! I'm a Mathematics Tutor at UQ, and I'm studying a Bachelor of Mathematics/Education (Secondary) which I graduate from in 2024. I graduated high school in 2018 with an OP2 and an A on QCS.
Believe it or not, Mathematics was my least favourite subject in high school and now here I am, devoting my life to helping others excel in (and enjoy) it. I know how daunting Mathematics can be, but I also know how to change that. My goal is to provide you with top tier Mathematics tutoring to help you exceed your own academic expectations, to help you see Mathematics from a different angle (pun intended.... ha ha) and to help you form excellent life-long independent learning skills.

Private tutoring sessions typically range between 30min to 1hr (online or in-person), but happy to take however long you need! My sessions are all about you! If you need me to provide detailed explanation of concepts – I’m your guy! Need me to go through examples with clear step-by-step instructions? That’s what I’m here for! I’m here to help you work through problems, form great study habits, help you prepare for your exams (yes, that means make study notes!), or even just proofread an assignment – basically, I'm you’re very own (Mathematics) assistant.
I am able to tutor all high school students and most university students depending on the course - I am able to tutor all first year math courses, most second year math courses, and some third year math courses.
As a disclaimer, I am unable to tutor university students who are in any courses that I'm tutoring this semester due to the conflict of interest - so if you are a uni student, just shoot me a message with the course you need help with just to be safe!
