About Mikil
I have been tutoring mathematics privately for the past 7 years. Additionally, I tutored at an after-school program at a local elementary school for 1 year and at my university for the past year. Through these experiences, I have tutored over 250 students, ranging from 1st graders to undergraduate seniors.
I am an undergraduate junior, double majoring in mathematics and computer science. For students interested in the applications of concepts, I have experience in academia with research projects in applied math, quantum physics, theoretical computer science, and drone design.

I like to teach by giving brief introductory lessons, followed by small problems that help build the student's confidence. As the student starts to succeed with these problems and develop an intuition for them, I gradually increase their difficulty. I ensure that each topic includes problems requiring different ways of thinking, so the student gains a comprehensive understanding rather than just learning a few patterns of example problems. My background in competitive math has taught me many different ways to view the same idea, so if a student struggles to understand a concept, I'll explain it in a completely different way, often providing visual and numerical explanations.
My lessons cover any mathematics topics from 1st grade to 2nd-year undergraduate courses. Additionally, I specialize in theoretical computer science, machine learning, and physics topics ranging from kinematics to quantum mechanics.
