About Luis
I hold a First-Class MEng in Mechanical Engineering and am now a PhD Researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Engineering at the University of Aberdeen.
Mathematics and physics underpin both my engineering background and my current research. I also have several years of university teaching and private tutoring experience.
I studied both Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry to Advanced Higher level before university.

How I teach
My aim is to develop an approach that can be applied to unfamiliar questions rather than simply memorising solutions.
For Maths, I focus on understanding why methods work and recognising when to use them.
For Physics, I focus on connecting the equations to the physical system they describe.
If a current topic depends on an earlier concept that is causing difficulty, we can revisit that foundation before progressing.
Students are welcome to send topics, notes or practice questions beforehand.
