About Stephen
My name is Stephen, I’m from Galway but go to university in Dublin. I love teaching maths, that moment of understand when a student finally gets a concept or an answer is hard to beat.
Maths is so much more than just numbers and formulas on a piece of paper, it’s that which underlies everything around us that we love; music, sports, video games, art etc.
I think people are so much better at maths than they think and just lack confidence and interest in the formal setting.
I want to show people just how good at maths they are and, hopefully, that it’s actually quite cool when you see how it all fits together.

My focus is on maximising attempt marks and minimising getting flustered by the tough problems.
Tutoring will come with free access to my step by step video solutions on all higher level leaving cert maths problems.
My skill lies in determining skill level, and then breaking down problems into steps that are small enough that you can understand and be able to recreate each one, but big enough that you feel accomplished in following along to the end.
