About Kavita
I have twelve years of experience teaching Math to students across a range of ages and abilities. In my Maths lessons, I integrate a mix of topics including middle school math, algebra, geometry, SAT math, and elementary school math, giving students a broad foundation and diverse problem-solving experience. I start by reinforcing core concepts such as number sense, arithmetic operations, and reasoning patterns. Step-by-step explanations help learners understand both the methods and underlying logic behind each problem.
As students progress, we cover algebraic expressions, multi-step equations, geometry applications, word problems, and exam-focused strategies like SAT preparation. I emphasize logical thinking, analytical reasoning, and independent problem-solving. Guided practice and real-world examples help learners connect concepts across topics and strengthen comprehension.
Advanced sessions focus on complex, multi-step problems, strategic problem-solving, and integration of multiple concepts. Students develop resilience, critical thinking, and confidence in their abilities. My goal is to create an environment where mathematics feels structured, approachable, and engaging, helping learners achieve academic success and develop lifelong analytical skills.
