About Bella
I’m currently doing my GCSEs (age 15) and predicted grade 9s for all subjects. I plan on studying maths, further maths, physics and chemistry/computer science at a level. In the UKMT intermediate maths challenge last year, I got a gold award (top 7%) and went through to the Hamilton Olympiad (top 500 performers in year 10 across the country). I enjoy learning a level and university level maths in my spare time, as well as reading about physics. Despite not having teaching qualifications, I think that my passion for the subject and not being much older than the pupils themselves (and so having studied the same topics not long ago) is helpful to the pupils I tutor.

I base my lessons following the curriculum the student follows to consolidate knowledge learnt, and I also teach extra topics from either lower or higher levels to either further ensure the pupil has full understanding or to stretch them with more interesting and harder maths, depending on the student’s needs. In doing this, I hope to enforce not just an understanding but an appreciation for maths and to show the pupil uses for maths that are more interesting than just following a standard curriculum.
