About Jax
I am a second year maths student studying at the University of Warwick. I completed my GCSE maths in year 10, my A level in year 11, and my A level further in year 12; safe to say, I have always known that maths was the subject for me! I enjoy maths for the problem solving, the pattern identification, and the process of reducing complex problems to simple, algebra sized chunks. I am inclusive and approachable, and would be delighted to help you on your maths journey.

In my teaching, I aim to provide students with confidence in their knowledge and skills by adapting my lessons to their thinking style. In maths, there are always different angles to approach a problem from, and I believe it's about finding the best approach for you. In lessons, I like to introduce concepts to students to provide them with base knowledge of the topic. Then, we would work through some questions together, helping to build confidence and allowing students to apply the concepts. This would then be followed with assigned questions to complete by yourself, which can be reviewed in a subsequent lesson. As a recent student myself, I have in-depth knowledge of the Pearson curriculum and the exam techniques required to achieve the best grades possible. I can help both students who wish for an in-depth understanding of concepts, those who are curious about the origins and foundations of methods, as well as students who want to focus on efficiently solving problems. I have previously tutored individuals through GCSE maths, working closely with them on areas they identified to improve their skills. I am happy to work with students of any age, with any prior level of maths.
