About Lakmi
I am passionate about teaching and understand what makes a great tutor, having benefited from tutoring myself. I achieved an ATAR of 95.5 and am currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Monash University). For the past two years I’ve tutored high school maths, helping students turn difficult topics into strengths. I am friendly, persistent, and approachable, ensuring students feel supported while building confidence and improving results. I hold a valid Working With Children Check, have volunteered in high school STEM outreach programs, and provide personalised lesson notes tailored to each learner. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!

I love tailoring the tutoring experience to all students! Generally, I will start by focussing on particularly challenging topics as communicated by the student (and myself if they are unsure). First I will go through the content and highlight key points. Then I will cover a few examples starting from basic and increasing to challenging. Then I will ask the student to attempt a few questions themselves ranging from easy to hard- providing assistance where necessary.
I will be most helpful to students looking to learn and understand content, as well as those looking to strive above standard.
