I bring over three decades of experience in education, with more than ten years focused specifically on preparing pupils for London’s highly competitive entrance exams. Since moving into tutoring in 2014, I have delivered in excess of 10,000 hours of one-to-one tuition, helping children prepare successfully for 4+, 7+, 8+, 9+, 10+, 11+, 13+ and GCSE examinations. My track record is strong, with approximately 96% of students gaining places at their first-choice independent or grammar schools, alongside a significant number of scholarship awards.

I have supported applicants to a wide range of schools, including Alleyn’s, Dulwich College, JAPS, JAGS, City of London School for Girls and Boys, Westminster, Sydenham High, Whitgift, Bromley High, St Dunstan’s, Colfe’s and Royal Russell, among others. Alongside exam preparation, I also work closely with pupils who benefit from additional support, such as dyslexic learners and GCSE students who need to rebuild confidence and develop effective exam technique.

My approach to tutoring is calm, structured, and purposeful. I prioritise clear explanations, consistent routines, and positive encouragement, ensuring students feel comfortable, supported, and motivated. Tuition begins with a detailed academic or developmental assessment, allowing me to identify strengths, areas for development, and individual learning preferences. From this, I create a tailored programme designed to meet each pupil’s specific needs.

I offer tuition in English, Mathematics, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Creative Writing, Interview Preparation and GCSE study skills. Sessions take place in East Dulwich or online via Classin. While I currently operate a waiting list, I encourage enquiries as availability can arise throughout the year.

My aim is to help every child grow in confidence, develop curiosity, and move forward fully prepared for the next stage of their education. The price should not be seen as an hourly rate as the work involved includes session preparation and homework and homework follow up feedback usually in the subsequent session unless included in your package as a between session extra.
