About Som
I currently work as a Consulting Manager at a global Fortune 500 company, and I specialize in helping my clients solve complex problems. Throughout my professional life, the practical applications of mathematics have been immense. This is also coupled with real-life lessons of remaining calm and structured under pressure.
On the side, I am an extremely passionate coach with 4 years of tutoring experience in secondary school mathematics (years 5 to 10). I focus not only on school curriculum, but also on competitive/selective/scholarship exams.
Every one of my students starts with a comprehensive assessment. I don't believe in "one size fits all" tutoring; we identify the specific conceptual gaps first so we can bridge them efficiently. I teach students how to think like an Engineer. We break down complex, "scary" word problems into simple, manageable steps. This shifts the student from memorization to genuine understanding.
My goal is to "Transform Confusion into Confidence." I provide a patient, encouraging environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, as that is where the real learning happens.

My Teaching Methodology: The "Roadmap" Approach
I believe that academic success is built on two pillars: Strategic Logic and Personal Confidence. Drawing from my academic and professional background, my teaching style moves beyond simple "homework help" to offer a more structured, consultant-led approach.
Diagnostic Foundations: Every student starts with a comprehensive assessment. I don't believe in "one size fits all" tutoring; my students and I identify the specific conceptual gaps first so we can bridge them efficiently.
Logical Deconstruction: I teach students how to think like an Engineer. We break down complex, "scary" word problems into simple, manageable steps. This shifts the student from memorization to genuine understanding.
Strategic Exam Prep: For those aiming for Selective Schools or Scholarships, I focus heavily on pattern recognition and time-management strategies—teaching students not just what to solve, but how to approach high-pressure exams with a calm, analytical mind. This will be coupled with lots of practice - both in class and at home.
A Supportive Partnership: My goal is to "Transform Confusion into Confidence." I provide a patient, encouraging environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, as that is where the real learning happens. I am a strong believer of Continuous Improvement and that comes inevitably when we work together as a team.
