About Miles
I currently am a senior pursuing an undergraduate degree, majoring in biology with a 4.0 GPA. My route through school has been nontraditional, but I am proud I have been able to keep my grades up and score so well on the MCAT. I will be applying to medical school in this cycle. I explored a lot of avenues before I decided to pursue medical school. Other experiences I have are as a personal trainer, emergency medical technician, research assistant, and indie mobile app developer.

I believe in personalizing my teachings to every different student I work with. I myself don't do well in the traditional classroom, and instead of training myself to conform I chose to develop my own learning style and now teaching style. I believe in figuring out where my students are currently in their studies, why they are having trouble with a particular concept, and making that concept digestible in the most efficient way possible. Nothing drives me more crazy in class than when I ask a question and my professor feels the need to recap a bunch of information I already know before getting to my actual question. That won't be an issue with me. If you're looking for help studying for the MCAT reach out to me! I started studying while still a freshman and only having taken one biology and one general chemistry course and I know how overwhelming it can be to dive into the content, especially at first. Send a message beforehand with the topic you're having issues, including what makes sense already but what doesn't. With that, I can create a personalized study plan before we meet so you can get the most bang for your buck. We can also go over practice problems you did on your own if you didn't understand why the final answer was what it was.
