About Fayssal
I'm Fayssal, a Software Engineering student at McGill with a 3.86 GPA, in the co-op program. Before McGill I did my DEC in Science, Computer Science and Mathematics at Cégep Gérald-Godin with a 34.4 R-score, where I also tutored robotics programming and physics and led the robotics programming club for a year. I've taught all ages — from cégep classmates to high school students online. I study in English at McGill and did my cégep in French, so I'm fully comfortable teaching in either language, including the vocabulary mismatches between French courses and English textbooks. I'm patient, structured, and I genuinely enjoy the moment a difficult concept clicks.

My sessions have two phases. First, we build real understanding: I explain the idea behind the formula or concept until it clicks, using visuals and concrete examples — no memorized tricks. Then we switch to exam-style practice: past exams and targeted problems, timed when a test is near, until you can solve them independently. A typical first session starts with a quick diagnostic (what's shaky vs. solid), then we set a plan around your course syllabus and exam dates. Lessons are for high school, cégep and first-year university students. I adapt to your pace — some students need foundations rebuilt, others want exam drills, and I do both.
