About Aashlesha
I'm Aashlesha, a mechanical engineer who has spent the last few years working at the edge of clean energy and mobility technology and somewhere along the way became just as invested in teaching as in engineering. I started at CERN, where I worked as a mechanical engineer on the Large Hadron Collider itself, often called the Mecca of physics, so it's fair to say I got to see how the universe's biggest questions get chased in practice, not just in a textbook. It left me wanting to go deeper into how energy actually moves through physical systems, which took me to the German Aerospace Center (DLR), researching hydrogen technology for sustainable mobility, that later became the focus of my Master's degree. That same question eventually pulled me into EV battery research, first at Bosch and now at Webasto, so the physics and chemistry I teach aren't abstract to me, I use them at work every week. I know how much a single subject can shake or build a student's confidence going into board exams, and my job is simple, make sure Physics or Chemistry is never the reason that confidence slips. Tutoring found me almost by accident, I started helping a few students during a quiet stretch years ago, and I just never stopped. Six years later I still look forward to it every week, maybe even more than when I started. I also believe feedback should go both ways, I'll tell a student honestly where they need to improve, and I want them to tell me just as honestly when something isn't working for them. That's usually where the real progress happens. If that sounds like the kind of teacher you're looking for, I'd genuinely love to meet you and your child.

My classes are built around dialogue, not monologue. I ask questions, let the student work through the problem, and step in only where they actually get stuck. That way I can see exactly where their understanding breaks down instead of guessing. I'm also not there to repeat what they've already heard in school, my job is to make them actually work through the fundamentals themselves. Each student gets one to one, dedicated attention with no fixed script. I usually spend the first few classes simply getting to know how a student thinks, what they already know well, and where exactly they're struggling, and I plan everything after that around bridging that specific gap rather than following a generic pace. When we work through problems, I don't just hand them typical textbook exercises. The first step is always understanding what the question is actually asking, taking the time to picture the situation rather than treating it as a string of numbers or a random statement to plug into a formula. That's where the real thinking starts, once a student can genuinely imagine the problem, everything else, the method, the calculation, tends to follow much more naturally. This matters more now than it used to. Any formula or step by step solution is one click away today through Google or AI tools. What a search engine cannot do is notice where a student's reasoning breaks down and ask the right follow up question to fix it. My focus is building that underlying reasoning, so a student can walk into an exam and solve a problem they've never seen before, with no app to lean on. I cover CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and IB curricula for grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with a focus on genuine problem solving skills over quick fixes.
