About Joshua
My name is Josh. I am an 18-year-old first year Mechanical Engineering undergraduate at Leeds University. At A-levels I studied maths, physics, biology and completed an EPQ. At GCSEs I achieved strong grades, including seven grade 9s in maths, physics, biology, English lit, Rs, Latin and geography. I play Rugby and am a qualified Windsurfing instructor. Looking forward to helping students with the experience and exam techniques that I’ve gained throughout my years in education.

A-level and GCSE/iGCSE physics requires an understanding of both theoretical and mathematical topics. Understanding fundamental topics and laws is essential for the technically more difficult ones to make sense. In my lessons we will aim to cover these fundamental topics fully and ensure the student has a strong understanding before we move onto the higher level topics. Nearer exam season I recommend we turn our focus to exam style questions and past papers, where we will go through the harder questions from homework that I set the week before.
