About Avishai
I’m an Engineering graduate, with a strong passion for mathematics, problem-solving and working with young people. Alongside my studies, I was Captain of the University of Manchester Men’s Football Club, developing my leadership, communication and teamwork skills. I’m friendly, approachable and patient, and I enjoy helping others understand challenging concepts and build confidence in their abilities. I’m particularly enthusiastic about making STEM subjects engaging and showing students that difficult problems can become much more manageable with the right approach.

I take a patient and adaptable approach, focusing on understanding rather than memorisation. I tailor each lesson to the student's level and goals, using clear explanations, worked examples and guided problem-solving before encouraging the student to tackle questions independently. I aim to build both subject knowledge and confidence, while making sure students understand why a method works. I recently completed an MEng in Mechatronic Engineering at the University of Manchester, achieving a First-Class equivalent result, with a strong background in mathematics, programming and problem-solving. I typically offer one-hour lessons and can tutor students from school level through to A-Level, particularly in Mathematics and STEM subjects, as well as programming where appropriate.
