About Nicola
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have tutored at GCSE level for a number of years for friends and family and all have achieved the highest grade in their exams as a result.
I have taught at the Open University since 2001 and I have tutor my own daughter through GCSEs and A levels.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach:
Media studies at GCSE and A Level.
Film Studies at GCSE and A Level.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a degree in Media and Communications.
I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education specialising in 16-19 education (Full Teaching Qualification).
I have an MBA in Innovation and Creativity.
I did a Teaching English as a Foreign Language Diploma.
Short courses in Teaching Media Studies, teaching Film Studies and understanding the new syllabus for both.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 an hour for regular sessions and £25 for the first initial consultation to see if you would be happy working with me.
If there are more than 1 of you I charge just £20 an hour if you have your sessions at the same time.
- Where do you teach?
I teach in my own home in Epsom, Surrey. I would prefer students to come to me but the initial consultation can be done at your home or chosen venue in Epsom, Ewell, Ashtead and 5 miles radius of Epsom.
I also teach online.
- When are you available?
Depending on my commitments, I am usually available during the days, early evenings (i.e.before 7pm), on Saturdays and during school holidays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach 14-19 year olds who are doing GCSE, or A levels.
