About Diya
I am a medical statistician currently working in clinical trials, with professional experience across academic clinical trial units including the University of Oxford and Barts and the London.
I hold a First-Class BSc in Neuroscience from QMUL and a Distinction MSc in Applied Statistical Modelling and Health Informatics from KCL, where I specialised in applied statistics, statistical modelling, and healthcare data analysis.
Over the past several years, I have worked across therapeutic areas including perinatal and cardiovascular health, applying statistical methods to real-world clinical research and healthcare data.
Alongside my professional work, I have over 4 years of tutoring experience supporting students with different backgrounds, levels, and learning styles. I have a particular interest in making statistics and data analysis feel more accessible and practical for learners.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual goals, background, and level of experience. Whether you are completely new to statistics, studying at university level, or looking to strengthen your understanding of statistical methods and Stata, I aim to make concepts clear, practical, and approachable.
I focus on helping students build confidence in statistics through step-by-step explanations, real-world examples, and applied problem solving rather than relying on memorisation alone. Lessons can include support with statistical concepts, choosing and interpreting statistical tests, understanding outputs, data handling, and applying methods using Stata.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and interactive, with an emphasis on developing both understanding and practical skills. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at their own pace.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and taught online. I teach students of all levels, including beginners, university students, and those working in healthcare or life sciences subjects.
